MEDICAL PROVIDER INFORMATION

ELIGIBLE PROVIDER TYPES

  • Physician (MD, DO) trained in pediatrics, family medicine, internal medicine and emergency medicine

​​

  • Physician Assistant (PA) with specialty in pediatrics or family medicine working within their defined scope of practice under the supervision of a physician who may or may not be a CARE Network provider

​​

  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) with specialty in pediatrics or family medicine working within their defined scope of practice under the supervision of a physician who may or may not be a CARE Network provider

​​

  • Nurse (RN) practicing as a Forensic Nurse Examiner or Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner

LICENSE VERIFICATION

Screening processed by The Kempe Center through DORA confirming that a new provider's license is in good standing.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

INITIAL TRAINING

  • Complete two-day, New Provider Training. Click HERE for additional information for next training

  • Complete web-based mandatory reporter training HERE

ONGOING TRAINING

  • Participate in at least 50% of designated virtual CARE NETWORK ECHO sessions, offered monthly. Click HERE for additional information on training sessions

  • Attend 1-day Annual Provider Training

MENTORSHIP

CARE Network providers must actively participate in the case review / mentorship program:

  • Every medical evaluation must be submitted to the Kempe Center for tracking and quality assurance. Click HERE for more information on submitting evaluations.

  • Reimbursement is contingent on submissions. Click HERE for more information on billing and reimbursement.
